I wasn’t extremely excited to go to Sing a Long Sound of Music, but I have to say, the Prince Charles Cinema comes alive with the Sound of Music.

Join Maria, a gaggle of  nuns, the handsome  Captain Von Trapp and his children (Liesl, Fredrik, Louisa, Kurt, Brigitta, Marta and Gretl – I can name them all!) to sing to your hearts content. Your host will whip you into a choral frenzy and also acts as the judge of the fancy dress competition. That’s right, fancy dress, one of the most important elements of Sing a Long Sound of Music. And dressing up in your Nun costume just won’t cut it. Think tea bags, the Swiss hills, whiskers on kittens and don’t think twice about cutting up those old curtains.

Sing a Long Sound of Music is a fully interactive experience. For those of you who shamelessly don’t know them by heart, the song lyrics are projected onto the screen so you can belt them with pride. We cheered Maria, booed the Nazis, barked at Rolf, hissed at the Baroness, awwwwed at Gretel, popped our poppers, and sang our little hearts out.
