How can you resist going to see the best thing to come out of Ireland other than Guinness and Jedward (that’s a joke by the way)? Grab your tickets to The Graham Nortonshow and see one of the funniest men on TV.

Getting tickets to Graham Norton is pretty easy. Just go on the website, fill out the form and if you get tickets, they’ll email you (I got them on my first try). But get to the show early as it’s first come, first serve and they won’t give you a ticket for your friends if they’re running late. If you make it into the studio, you’re seated randomly. Luckily we had wicked seats about 4 rows from the stage.

Even though the show is only half an hour, the taping lasts for an hour to allow editing of jokes that completely bombed or politically incorrect comments from the guests — like the comedian they always seem to have sitting on the end of the couch as a buffer for dull guests. So what you see on TV is the edited version of the best bits.

Why should you go? Usually Graham has big celebs like Tom Cruise and Katie Perry. Unfortunately when I went, the biggest star was James Blunt. Yes I got screwed. Nonetheless, I got to see someone from Strictly Come Dancing (Pamela Stephenson – no idea who she is), Lee Mack (aka the buffer), the ever obnoxious Alan Sugar and the Bluntman himself. Although I have to admit Blunt was mildly funny as he acknowledged that the British public pretty much hate him for no real reason except a sappy song.

We didn’t really make it on TV except for the quick audience scans (wear a bright colour). And sadly, I didn’t make it in the big red chair. But we did get to see one very cheesy marriage proposal. My show is below.
